We have enough experience and tools to identify early symptoms of oral cancer. While these symptoms may be created by other, not so much serious problems, it became necessary to visit our dental care to abolish the possibility of oral cancer.
The most common symptoms of oral cancer include:
- Red or white spots or sores in the oral cavity
- A sore that bleeds and cannot heal
- Difficulty in chewing and speaking
Our dentist is well trained who will inspect your oral cavity to identify cancerous and precancerous state. Including a visual evaluation of your mouth, we will also feel the tissue of your mouth and throat to identify any irregularity. If we discover an area of problem, we may execute the OralCDx BrushTest, which is a brush test that collects cells from a doubtful wound in the mouth to be forward to a laboratory for review. If test comes back positive, we may suggest a biopsy.
